Cannot Turn On Or Off Visibility Of A Part Without Removing The Associativity Message In Inventor
Cannot Turn On Or Off Visibility Of A Part Without Removing The Associativity Message In Inventor When attempting to turn off the visibility of a sub assembly in inventor there is a message that pops up asking to remove the associativity. the view representation at the sub assembly has been set to associative. right click on the specific assembly file in question and select representations. turn off or un select the associative setting. In autocad i would just hide the layer for the part. in inventor i set the part with no visibility and get a message "the component status is associatively set by the design view representation <default> in the component xyz.iam" i am only given the option to "modify the design view representation" or "remove associativity".
Cannot Turn On Or Off Visibility Of A Part Without Removing The Associativity Message In Inventor 10 04 2011 02:29 pm. see attached. 10 04 2011 03:39 pm. thanks, that should do it. 09 24 2014 02:58 am. solved: it happens sometimes, when i try to turn off the visibility of a part in a created view, the option is grayed out, can't uncheck visibility. That can be bad if you get 50 instances of the part or assembly, all with a work axis turned on and showing that you want to turn off. you can't just turn it off in the original part or assembly. but, if you restore the associativity, you can. it's kind of a long explanation. i hope it helps, or at least doesn't add to the confusion. Redefine components used only for context so that they are visible but not enabled. change invisible components to not enabled or enabled. change not enabled components back to enabled status. turn off visibility of components not needed for current operations. turn visibility on or off for all assembly components. Reconnect the dwg underlay's plane point of associativity if the dependent plane and origin point are deleted. re establish associativity with legacy files: the associativity that exists in a legacy dwg underlay inventor part or assembly may not be maintained when you open the file. use the redefine command to re establish the associativity.

Ask the assistant. users reported that some assembly part would not be shown on screen even though their visibility was turned on in inventor 2019. int the example below, the visibility of the highlighted assemblies is turned on, but they are not visible on screen. when they're selected in the browser, only then they are highlighted. 05 12 2014 02:37 am. you can find the checkmark for associativity under the "representation" option when right clicking. but if you make your part sub assy invisible again, you will get the same prompt. if you just want to turn off the visibility for workplanes, you might try the "object visibility" setting on the "view" tab. niels van der veer.
